Description
The WE 040 Wind Energy Trainer features an adjustable blade axial flow fan with speed control, transparent test section, a wind turbine, DC generator with resistance load, dynamometer and measuring instruments. The turbine wheel can accommodate up to 6 blades, and blade angle can be adjusted using a special device. The unit can also be used for testing blades and turbines designed by the students.
We have also provided this significantly larger customized version (pictured below) for Universities competing in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Collegiate Wind Competition. It allows teams to test turbines to competition standard in addition to the standard configuration for teaching a classroom curriculum.
