Bench-top, simple machine to investigate balancing of a rotating system using Dalby’s Method.. The apparatus consists of a balanced steel shaft running in ball bearings held in a rigid chassis. The shaft has four balance blocks and is driven by a variable speed electric motor. Adjustable at different angular and axial positions with scales. Additional weights for static balance. Speed up to 1000 rpm. Built-in tachometer. Interlocked clear plastic guard with emergency stop.
