Bench-top unit to investigate stress and strain distribution in a beam subjected to a shear load. Two aluminium alloy I-sections, fitted with strain gauges. Hand operated loading. Electro-mechanical unit. Beam deflection measured by digital gauge. Strain gauges outputs to be connected to a strain gauge monitor (not included).
