Used for measurement of shear force and bending moment in a beam from which comparison with theoretical values can be made.
The beam has two parts with one part having ball bearings traveling on the vertical surface of the other part, an overhung spring balance for measuring the shear force, and an under-hanging spring balance for measuring of bending moment are provided. The beam rests on two roller supports. Load hangers and weights slide along the beam.
